Odette didn’t ask for this. She was never supposed to be in-the-action on any of the crimes. She was never supposed to be caught. Even six years later, she can’t believe the run of bad luck that got her conscripted into the Federation military — forced to travel the solar system on a massive warship. Determined to finally reclaim her freedom, Odette plots her escape. Her plan unravels when she encounters an enigmatic robot, one that by all accounts should not exist.

Bound by circumstance and pursued by the Federation, the unlikely pair navigates a perilous journey. From Ice Haulers to Federation Gunships, they are united by a simple, desperate goal: to get home. As she uncovers more and more of the mystery surrounding the robot and it’s past, Odette is thrust into a conspiracy that threatens not only her life but the future of humanity itself. To expose the truth and hold the Federation accountable, she may have to sacrifice everything she holds dear, and confront the devastating possibility that the home that she knew may be lost to her forever.
